FBC (Force Basketball Club) Board of Directors


Lennard McMillan

Lennard is originally from Ohio. He has been involved with the FBC as a
board member for over 9 years. Lennard also assisted with the 17u basketball team for many years.


Ross Romero, President

Ross was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. After graduating from West Mesa High School, Ross served for 5 years in the U.S. Air Force. Ross returned to Albuquerque with his son, Isaac, and began working with his brother David to build the FBC. He attended Junior College in California and later attended and received his BBA degree from the College of Santa Fe. Ross has 25 years of coaching experience, including three years with the Albuquerque Public Schools. He also has 20 years of health insurance experience. He is married to Cassandra and they have twin boys, Kyle and Tyler. Ross became a Christian in 1996 and enjoys serving the youth in the community and surrounding areas. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching as many basketball games as possible.

David Romero

David was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from West Mesa High School. Dave has 20+ years of coaching experience, 14 of which is at
the AAU level. He was the Head Coach for the Temple Baptist Academy varsity girl's basketball team. Dave is the co-founder of the FBC and an original board member
.

Van Tate

Van hails from Hobbs, NM. Van earned a football scholarship and played for
the University of New Mexico. He received his Bachelor's degree and he is
the Sport's Director for a local television news station.


Martin Gutierrez

Martin was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Martin graduated from Valley High School where he played varsity basketball. He has coached at the middle & high school levels for 15 years and has coached AAU for 20 years.

Fernando "Fernie" Hernandez
Fernie played Division 1 basketball under the legendary Don "The Bear" Haskins at UTEP and professionally for 14 years. Fernie currently coaches a professional basketball team. He has coached for over 10 years and has been involved with the Force program for over 6 years.

Kelvin Scarborough

Kelvin was born and raised in Washington, DC. Kelvin played college basketball at the University of New Mexico. Kelvin has coached high school basketball for many years. Kelvin has directed basketball camps throughout the state and has helped NM kids for decades.

Julian Morales
Julian is originally from Deming, NM. He is married with four kids. Julian and his wife, LouAnn, are active in their church. Julian has coached basketball for 4 years. He became a board member in 2012. Julian is a Real Estate Broker with All-Star Realty.
